AMD Implementation Workshop: from Supplementation to Photobiomodulation
Build a Consistent Process for Every AMD Patient
A one-day working session to systematize your AMD response and get your full team aligned for a higher standard of patient care.
Thursday, October 29, 2026 | 8 AM-4 PM
Courtyard Dallas DFW Airport North Grapevine

AMD is One of the Fastest-Growing Chronic Disease in Primary Eye Care.
Does Your Practice Have a Repeatable System to Respond?
Our patient population is aging, emerging therapies are expanding your role, and patients are coming to you with more questions than ever regarding Age-Related Macular Degeneration.
- Am I a candidate for treatment?
- Should I be doing more than taking vitamins?
- How often do I need to be seen?
These are reasonable questions from patients. Without systems in place, we risk our care being inconsistent from patient to patient.
Build Repeatable Responses and Improve Patient Outcomes
With standardized workflows that align all team members, we can reduce variability in patient care and improve the practice’s efficiency.

Identify at-risk patients earlier

Recognize progression sooner

Use appropriate diagnostic testing

Incorporate evidence-based nutritional recommendations

Improve patient understanding and compliance

Develop monitoring strategies that support earlier intervention

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What if I can’t attend after registering?
Contact us at least 14 days before the event for a full refund or transfer to a future event.
2. Can I bring a team member?
Pro Members may bring a total of two (2) employees (OD/Owner + 1 staff member). If you’d like to bring more, contact us to discuss. Enhanced and Essentials members can bring more staff, but must purchase a separate entry for each staff member. Space is limited, and we prioritize practice owners and ODs, but reach out, and we’ll see what we can accommodate.
3. What makes this different from a CE course or conference?
This is a working session. You complete actual deliverables for your practice — not hypothetical examples. You leave with systems ready to implement the following Monday.
4. Can I upgrade to Pro Membership and come for free?
Yes. All Pro Members get access to every continuing education event, including our working sessions like this one, as part of their membership. Contact us to upgrade your membership.
5. Is this workshop eligible for CE credit?
No. This workshop intentionally has no CE hours attached. The full day focuses on implementation rather than fitting CE requirements, so you leave with a complete AMD program you can put into practice right away.
6. I’m a PPP Pro member; will I miss out on CE by attending?
No. Pro members already receive virtual COPE-approved CE three to four times a year as part of their membership, separate from this workshop. Education and implementation are kept as separate experiences on purpose, so in-person time can be spent building the practice model rather than covering material you can get virtually.
7. Who’s leading the workshop?
Dr. Kyle Klute, Dr. Aaron Werner, and Dr. Chris Wolfe will lead the day together.
8. What will we actually cover?
The day walks through the entire AMD patient journey and the practice systems needed to support it, including:
- Identifying your AMD opportunity and the key metrics to track
- Risk stratification and clinical protocols by AMD stage
- Where diagnostic and monitoring technology (OCT, dark adaptation, ERG, home/remote monitoring) fits — and where it doesn’t
Treatment considerations, including AREDS supplementation and photobiomodulation - Patient communication and education
- Coding, billing, fees, and the economics of this level of care
- Practice implementation: technician workflow, scheduling, delegation
- KPIs to measure whether the program is working
9. How is this different from a typical AMD CE course?
Most AMD education focuses on giving you more clinical information, and there’s already plenty of good material out there. This workshop instead answers the harder question: how do you take that knowledge and build a comprehensive, repeatable AMD program in your own practice?
10. Will industry partners be presenting?
Several industry partners will be there, but this isn’t a day of vendor presentations. Their role is to help incorporate available technologies and resources into the broader discussion of building the clinical and operational model.
11. Why is attendance limited to 50 doctors?
Keeping the group small keeps it interactive so doctors can ask questions, work through their own practice situations, and leave with something usable rather than just a notebook of ideas.Keeping the group small keeps it interactive so doctors can ask questions, work through their own practice situations, and leave with something usable rather than just a notebook of ideas.
12. Where can I see the full agenda before registering?
We’ll share a more detailed agenda on this page and via email before the event.
